About the Queen Bee

Supersedure Queen Cells. Notice how they are larger that the rest of the cells in the comb.

Here is a picture of some Swarm Queen cells on the bottom of a frame in spring.

This is a sign that the bees are going to swarm if I don't get them split or more room made in their current hive.

Another picture of a package of spring bees. The Queen is in her cage in the center of that cluster.

Queen bees are packaged in their own cage to protect them from being stung to death by the colony of bees. In a few days the hive will have accepted her as their own and she can be released.

Can you find the Queen?

Hint - She is in the center of the picture and is darker and longer than the others.
